Pineapples and Zigzags

I was trying to bust out some sweet fruity nails this week, and that sounds kind of weird. Let's start over.

This week, I wanted to paint fruits on my nails. Is that even any better? I feel like this post is already getting offensive...

But anyways, I wanted to make fruit nails, but I didn't want to do the same things everybody else does. It's not that I dislike the full-nail fruits that have been all over the place lately. In fact, I really love most of those. I just like being different. Because I'm obnoxious. Here's what I finally came up with.

I say this for almost all of these posts, but I guess it's because I don't take photos of the manis I hate, and I'm gonna say it again here: I really love these nails. I like how the zigzags kind of mirror the shape of the texture of pineapples without being obvious about it, I like the random little baby pineapples, I'm really into this tan and yellow color scheme I've been messing around with lately. I got the pineapple print inspiration from this photo, and I kind of want this dress now. I own way too many dresses though...

The base color I used is Urban Outfitters Virgin (I really need a backup or two of this guy), the zigzags are OPI San Tan-tonio, and the rest of the colors are Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow and Green with Envy, OPI The "It" Color, Essie Mojito Madness and American Apparel Hunter Green.
