It's the fifth day of the challenge, and that means blue nails. If you follow me on instagram (as well you should), you'd have seen these yesterday. Well, not these nails, persay. because I didn't take any photos of the ones I did yesterday before practice. And that was stupid. The thing is, I loved the gyarados design so much I couldn't NOT put it on my blog, but there was also no way I was gonna take photos of the nails that got wrecked playing volleyball. What I'm trying to say is that I redid my nails when I probably should have been reading or something.... Whoops.
You must admit, they're pretty awesome. I'm amazed I managed to make him look NOT cross-eyed on my first try! Truly a nail art miracle.
The first time I did these nails, I made my thumb an extension of his mouth, but I wasn't super happy with how that looked so I changed it this time around. I'm still not sure if I like the thumb or how it fits in with the rest of the mani, but it'll do.
The base color for these nails is China Glaze Flyin' High, and the details are CG Exotic Encounters and Lemon Fizz (mixed with American Apparel Palm Springs), Essie Who Is the Boss and In Stitches, Revlon Impulsive (mixed with a bit of white), and then just white and black polishes.
The girls on my volleyball team asked me if I could do pokemon nails for them at practice yesterday, and I'm PUMPED. I love doing these. Seriously.
